Privacy policy
This site is a static collection of pages about Guild Wars Afterlife. It has no accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no login. What follows is what is actually collected when you read a page, and what you can do about it.
Nothing is stored
Nothing on the server. The pages are static files served by Cloudflare Pages, and there is no application behind them that writes to a database. There are no cookies set by this site, no local storage and no session.
The only data this site holds is the text of any email you choose to send to [email protected], which sits in a normal mailbox.
Analytics
Pages load Google Analytics 4 (property G-2T712P4JBV), which records page views and basic session information: the page you read, roughly where the request came from, the device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from the IP address. Google sets its own cookies for this.
What it is used for: knowing which pages people read, so that the pages that answer questions get maintained and the ones that do not get rewritten. Nothing is sold, and no profile is built across other sites by this site.
You can block it entirely with an ad blocker, a tracker blocker, or by disabling JavaScript — the pages are static HTML and read fine without scripts.
Advertising
This site carries advertising from Adsterra. Ads are third-party content loaded into designated slots on the page: a native banner on desktop, and a 320×50 banner in a sandboxed frame on mobile.
Three things follow from that.
- Adsterra may set cookies or read device information to serve and measure ads. That happens under Adsterra's own privacy policy, not this site's.
- The ads are loaded by script, so an ad blocker will stop them. The page content is unaffected.
- No ad is required to read anything here. Every page works with scripts blocked.
In a region with rules about advertising consent, use your browser's blocking controls; this site does not run a consent banner of its own.
| Data | Why it is collected | How to stop it |
|---|---|---|
| Page views (Google Analytics 4) | Knowing which pages get read | Ad blocker, tracker blocker, or JavaScript off |
| Ad requests (Adsterra) | Serving and measuring ads | Ad blocker |
| Email you send | Answering you, fixing the site | Do not send one |
If you send an email to the address on the contact page, it is read by one person and used to answer you or fix the site. It is not added to a mailing list, and it is not shared. Email providers on both ends process the message as normal.
External links
Pages link to Steam, guildwars.com, wiki.guildwars.com, Google Play and help.guildwars.com. Once you follow a link, that site's privacy policy applies, not this one. This site does not embed tracking pixels from those destinations.
Children
The game is rated Teen. This site is written for people old enough to buy it, and it does not knowingly collect anything from anyone; there is no form to submit.
Changes
If analytics or advertising changes, this page changes with it, and the checked date at the bottom moves. The current setup is Google Analytics 4 plus Adsterra, and nothing else.
